Tourist Guide of Budapest 2.

The rest part of the guide written in the previous post:

EATING OUT, SHOPS

I’d like to recommend you some of my favourite places, which prize is okay, too.
From your hostel if you go to oktogon, in the corner near Mc Donald’s you will find the OKTOGON BISZTRÓ. (https://www.facebook.com/gastlandbisztro.oktogon?fref=ts)If you’re hungry or you search a good place for lunch, I’d suggest this one. It has an all you can eat prize 1190 HUF, but it provides several kinds of soups, main course, side dishes, desserts. You can try almost every Hungarian traditional food (take photos and I’ll tell their names later, haha). You have to pay for your drink plus, a soft drink is about 300 HUF (buti f you don’t have any drinks there, the food costs 1390 HUF). You can have also dinner here, not just lunch.

As for breakfast, please, definitely go to Cserpes Tejivó, which is located on Deak Tér. How to get there? Take subway line 1 from Oktogon and get off at Deák Tér. At the station go down the stairs, when you’re out, turn right, then left, and take the exit coloured by red. Go up ont he escalator, and you will find a Mc Donald’s there. Exactly next to the Mc Donald’s there is the Cserpes Tejivó (www.cserpestejivo.hu, or find them on facebook). Hungarian people usually have bread and bakery products for breakfast. Here you go! You can drink a hot or a cold cocoa drink, too. I’d recommend to have a Habos Klasszikus (Creamy Classic). This menu has a cocoa drink (hot or cold, you can choose), and a cocoa snake or a „cottage cheese bag”. This menu is 390 HUF. But they have salads, other patries, home made yoghurts, coffee, other milk products, etc. Go there, please!
/If this shop is full of people, there is another same one. From Deák tér take subway line 3, go till Corvin negyed, get off, go up the escalator, turn right and go straight up.  Then go inside that square which has Corvin mozi (cinema) there, it is also worth visiting, this square is brand you and really nice. Ont he corner you can find Cserpes Tejivó, and it is definitely less crowded. You can come here from Oktogon directly. Take tram line 4 or 6 at Oktogon and get off at Corvin negyed. Cross the street on the zebra crossing and there you are!/

I’ve already told you about LEVES (https://www.facebook.com/levespont?fref=ts). There the people are young students, they all speak English.
This is a really small place, where you can eat cream soups, sandwiches and cookies. These are all they have. But every day 4 different kind of soups (they have cold raspberry cream soup everyday, that is my absolute favourite ^^), 4 different grilled sandwiches, and 2 kinds of cookies).
Prizes:
0,5 dl soup: 450 HUF (+topping is +50 HUF, you can choose cream with mint, cheese, tortilla, crouton, mandels, etc.)
small sandwich with the soup together 790 HUF
big sandwhich with the soup together 990 HUF
cookie: 250 HUF

Anywhere, where you see PÉKSÉG is written, it’s a bakery. Here you can get any pastries for 100-200 HUF, just pop in, and choose something which seems delicious, you won’t regret. ;)
As for supermarkets, I recommend you CBA, which is also located at Deák tér. It’s at the starting point of 49 and 47 tram line. If you come dirent from the underground, as you come out from line 1 stop, you turn left and go up on the  short escalator. Then go straight up ont he stairs in front of you, here is the tram line. Then if you turn left you will see CBA. Ont he left of CBA there is a stationary shop, where you can get postcards cheaply! 40 HUF, but other places postcards are about 100-150 HUF.
If you take tram line 47 or 49, you can go to Kálvin tér or Fővám tér (City Market Hall) from here easily /2 or 3 stops/. Or on foot.

There are other supermarkets, shops, too, for example: TESCO, Manna, Reál, RONI.
Of course, in Budapest there are many Mc Donald’s, Burger Kings, and stuff, but I hope you will try our national dishes instead! ^^
